Description
Light Stabilizer
Ultra-violet rays can dissociate the chemical bonds within a polymer chain. The process is called photo-degradation. In general, polymers lose their quality in the presence of sunlight, which leads to cracking, embrittlement, chucking, color change, or a reduction in the mechanical properties like tensile strength, elongation, and impact strength. There are special chemicals used as photo-stabilizers or ultra-violet stabilizers, which prohibit the physical and chemical damages due to sunlight.
