Polycarbonate (PC)

Advantages:

Itis an engineering thermoplastic polymer. The characteristic features of PC are high impact strength, low flammability, electricity protection, having the ability to be sterilized by gamma radiation, high abrasion resistance, high heat deflection temperature (high HDT), good dimensional stability and electrical property and being processable by most common thermoplastic polymers processing techniques. PC is not corrosive. Itis flammable but it also able to extinguish the flame once removed from fire. This plastic insoluble to dissolve in alcohols and stable against the inorganic acids. It has low moisture absorbance and resistant against ozone gas, air, UV radiation and environmental conditions.
