Advantages:

It is an engineered thermoplastic. It has great toughness and impact-resistance, abrasion resistance, low friction, high tensile strength, acceptable creep resistance. It preserves its mechanical and electrical properties in a wide range of temperatures. It also possesses high resistance against oils, greases, solvents and bases. It can be processed with most of the common polymer processing techniques. Polyamides barely catch fire and have the ability to self-extinguish fire upon removing from fire.
